  • 1.  Designer 11.1 - UI and process perspective ?

    Posted Tue April 01, 2025 05:26 AM

    Hi,

I try Service Designer 11.1 (Archive download) and classical installation with IBM webMethods Installer but I can't find Designer perspectives for process or UI.

    With Installer :

On Designer 11.1 I just have service Development perspective :

For sample in Designer 10.15 :

How can I install the process and UI (human task) perspectives on Designer 11.1?

    Thanks.

    Hi Thibaut,

these are missing by default in Service Designer, as the bundled IntegrationServer does not have a process engine or UI engine available.
You will require at least a full trial suite to achieve this.

    Holger

    Hi,

Ok, I understand for service Designer.

But for a classical installation, I don't see process & UI perspective on IBM webMethods Installer for Designer.

How I can create BPM and Human Task without this perspectives ?

    Hi Thibault,

when using a full classical image, make sure that you have selected these components for download, otherwise you won´t be able to install them.
Remember that you need a full IBM webMethods Installer, not just the one for the Designer.

    Holger

    Hi,

I use IBM_webMethods_Install_Windowsx64.exe downloaded directly on IBM "Software Access Catalog Download"

I don't use image for installation. I direct download sources from Installer.

    Products list :

Do you need more informations ?

    Hello Thibaut,

I don't see components like process development or UI development plugins in the screenshot, until you select them and install they won't appear in designer.

Wondering how these components are missing in the sandbox or image.

    Regards,

    Bharath

    Hi,

I download Software AG Installer 10.15 from Empower and install downloaded products from Empower. I see process Development for Designer.

We have to understand why in IBM Installer 11.1 we don't have this.

    Hi,

It seems that as a business partner, I don't have access to process features with my IBM account. An IBMer account have access to these features with the IBM installer.
I'll try to find out more from my partner manager.
    Thank you for your help.
