Deprecated service "pub.client:soapHTTP"

  • 1.  Deprecated service "pub.client:soapHTTP"

    Posted Mon September 10, 2012 03:54 PM

    Hi All,
The webservice connectors in wM 6.5 use the deprecated service “pub.client:soapHTTP”. This is just a flow service which seems to be pretty straight forward. Does anyone know why this service is deprecated? The documentation says it does not have a replacement service. When I tested this service in wM 8.2, it works fine. I know some deprecated services would work in later versions too, and ‘deprecated’ only means SAG won’t provide support for them. But I wonder why they had to deprecate this service. Any ideas?

    Thank you!

I think in later release, WM moved to an AXIS2 based WS solutions. Better support on the message level signing/encryption standards etc.
the old soapHTTP will still work, as long as it’s functionalities can satisfy your need.

    → true:

I believe the replacement service would be – pub.client:soapClient for soapHTTP ofcourse as long it works with old svc:
