Definitive list of standards supported by webMethods IS - We

  • 1.  Definitive list of standards supported by webMethods IS - We

    Posted Thu March 01, 2007 06:58 PM

    G’day guys,

Does anyone know of a definitive list of standards supported by webMethods IS - ideally for each version - 6.1, 6.5 etc? I’ve checked all the relevant docs, done searches here and in Google, with very little definitive feedback.

There is a dizzying array of standards out there - Web Services is my specific area of interest - and knowing which are supported is a good start to learning the capabilities of webMethods. Specifically, is WS-Security supported in 6.5?

Any advice appreciated - one handy tip: webMethods uses nonstandard names for SOAP message schemes:

    • “SOAP-RPC” in webMethods is what everyone else calls “RPC/Encoded” or “SOAP Encoding”.
    • “SOAP-Message” in webMethods is what everyone else calls “Document/Literal”.

    Cheers,

    -Tim

Actually we also need this list, but this time for the webMethods 7.1 Release.

    Can anyone help us out?

    webMethods 7.1 Release supports

SOAP 1.1 RPC Literal , RPC Encoded and Document Literal as well as SOAP 1.2 Document Literal.

We can create WS-I compliant wsdls in 7.1 and it supports WS-Security as well

Do you need to know anything else in specific?

    Thanks
    Maha
