  • 1.  DefineCalc formula in Planning Analytics for Excel

    Posted 05/12/26 03:30 PM

I am looking for some clarification and guidance around DefineCalc formula in Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) and would appreciate the community's help with the following questions:

    1. Where are DefineCalc formulas stored? Is there a way to view or locate their definitions?
    2. How can an existing DefineCalc formula be edited once it is created?
    3. Is it possible to reset or delete/remove an existing DefineCalc formula? If so, what is the recommended approach?
    4. Currently, DefineCalc is only usable in Custom Reports. Are there any plans to make it available in Quick Reports?
    5. Is it possible (now or in the future) to have DefineCalc formula visible or usable in Exploration or Viewer mode?

    Thank you.
    Vincent

    Hi Simon,

Thank you for sharing this tip; I really appreciate it.

I've read through the post and found it very helpful in understanding how to create the formula. My remaining questions are more from an administrative perspective. Specifically, I'm looking to understand where these can be accessed in the backend, and whether there is the ability to edit or delete them if users make such requests.

    Thank you.
