  • 1.  DB2 SQL Function to Read BLOB and Traverse XML/JSON

    Hi All,

    We are looking for a way to query table column MAXINTERRORMSG.MSGDATA  (BLOB Data) and extract a particular tag value via SQL Query like below.

    I search online and could not find any DB2 Functions that can do above.

    I am looking for help on what DB2 Functions are available to read BLOB fields and extract a tag value be it a JSON or an XML.

    Dear Vikram

    There was a big XML support enhancement in DB2 for i 7.1's SQL.  You can find details in the file I attach to this post which contains 6-7 articles on this.
