have you used a monitor profile : existing or new ?
at this profile, you have to attach the database(s) you want to follow this profile
there are different options in the profile that can be activated..

Hi Guy, I was not the one who set up the Db2 Data Management Console.

In the 'monitor profile' the name is 'default'. I tried to set up a new profile, but now I see that the database list is empty.

    Default profile
    Select connections - Empty list

You need to make sure you have the necessary privileges granted to the DSM monitoring ID on the target DBs.

Otherwise, the monitoring wont work and will stat as it is...  "Not Monitored"  they could be more specific in telling you why..   but ...

Also,  I lacked to see a proper documentation on DMC for this..  This needs an URGENT improvement in product documentation.

I used the documentation from old DSM.

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS5Q8A_2.1.x/com.ibm.datatools.dsweb.ots.security.doc/topics/Privileges_required_for_the_ID_used_by_IBM_Data_Server_Manager.html

Follow this,  and see if it works properly after that..

    Regards

    Hello all,
I have similar issue. Monitoring profile is set correctly (I see database as available), persistance is set to ON (keep data for 7 days), monitoring user has privilage (used the same as in DSM where it was working), but still IBMCONSOLE.DBSTATUS doesn't receive any data.

Any thoughts, what to check, are more than welcome

I set up other database in the DMC and they were monitored normally, but that what I really needed remained unmonitored.

The solution given by my team was to uninstall the DMC and reinstall the DSM. With DSM, monitoring takes place correctly.
