Ascential's pat response is "We don't support DataStageTX on AIX 5.3" and refuse to look at the errors. After much pushing, they did admit that a few others are successfully running the product on AIX 5.3. If you are one of these lucky few, would you be willing to share info about your hardware, configuration, and any tweaks you may have had to do? Offline is fine, if you don't want to show everyone.

    Have you given the DataStage TX user all the power permissions? Also have you allocated the user unlimited access to memory etc?

    You could run the UI script against the core dump and look at it. If it was a supported environment, this would be the first step.

    1. mercator-calls hanging (not finishing; no exit)
