Are you on the same server with both installs? Same ulimits? What OS?

Have used the recommended Page Size setting with dsxtxpage utility - although we ran it with a smaller file. Ran the same file with same Page Size settings under 671 and 8.0.

Have not used the Profiler on this map yet. That is the next step.

It is not XML data.
It is a large 837 Institutional file.

We have done a thorough evaluation of running different types of files through 671 and 8.0. Most of the scenarios - we found 671 to be faster than 8.0.

The above results are similar to when we did an evaluation with 751. This was reported to Tech Support at that time. That is the one of the reasons we did not upgrade immediately to 751.
