  • 1.  Datacap Navigator Saved Filters on Monitor

    Posted Tue January 21, 2025 10:57 AM

    Hi everyone,

I've got a Datacap 9.1.9 iFix005 application using Navigator as the front end.  Everything in the app is pretty much working as required, but I want the users to be able to save Filters so they only see batches where that are the Operator (I know there is the My Task List view, but I need supervisors to see a number of different operators' tasks).

I can create Filters and apply them, and I can also save these filters successfully, but if I log out and back into Navigator the Saved Filters list is empty.  This appears to be because the filter has been saved to the Taskmaster Server, but should be on the local machine where Navigator is being used.  It does save both  Scanner Profiles and Scanned Images (before upload to the  server) locally on the PC's C:\ drive.  (I can see the Filters I've saved on the server).

Does anyone know how to save Filters so that are available to the user?

    Thanks,

    Duncan

With some input from elsewhere I've managed to get to the bottom of why this wasn't working for me.

The user name (we're using TMA) has a space in it.  So Jane Doe doesn't work, but JaneDoe, Jane.Doe and Jane_Doe do work.

Thanks for to everyone that took the time to read this!

The filter itself is save in the application.   Example  C:\Datacap\TravelDocs\savedfilters\admin

It's save to the application whereever the datacap.xml is defined at.

Thanks Duke, the space in the user name was stopping the Datacap creating the XML tags so the savedfilters.xml wasn't being updated.

    It's working for me know.
