I’m trying to Connect SLQ Express 2008 to Database Component Configuration with URL jdbc:wm:sqlserver://MCHMOT001:3389;databaseName=wmsagdev and I’m getting this error:

Database Connection error: [sag-cjdbc42-0011][SQLServer JDBC Driver]A problem occurred when attempting to contact the server (Server returned: Connection reset).Now m getting dis error A problem occurred when attempting to contact the server (Server returned: Connection reset). Please ensure that the server parameters passed to the driver are correct and that the server is running. Also ensure that the maximum number of connections have not been exceeded for this server.

Did you tried connecting to the database from any other client?

And port ‘3389’ you are using is not default sqlserver port.Did you check with your admin to make sure the port and other config props you are using are indeed right?
