  • 1.  Database Adapter Compatibility

    There are no named Enteprise adapters for several databases. Somebody just asked me a compatibility question so I thought I’d post it for the archives.

    Using the 4.1.1 Enterprise Adapters, there is compatibility for the following databases:

    UNIX Platforms (Solaris, HP/UX, AIX)

    Oracle
    Sybase
    Informix

    NT Platforms (NT Server 4.0+, NT Workstation 4.0+)

    Oracle
    Sybase
    Informix
    Microsoft SQL Server
    ODBC

    There is a DB2 Standard Adapter as well, based on the ODBC adapter with some DB2 quirks addressed. Runs on NT. Not sure if there is a version for the unixen.
