Data Module - How does it interpret dates in a XLSX file ?

    ​I have several files that seem to have almost identical data in various columns.
    However when read and joined by the DATA MODULE , some have a Data Type of TEXT and others have DATE.
    All theses fields have "Date" as part of their name.
    Visually in Excel they are similar. But Some have a empty values in some rows. (but this doesn't look like the problem).

    I cannot find the "rules" for how the data module assigns the Data Type when reading the file.

    Please help.  Thanks.
