    Hi everyone,

    I have a little idea for an Instagram-focused project. My goal is to collect data and determine most used hashtags. I plan to use this information for SMM and see from there whether hashtags work at all in the current environment.

    Does anyone have experience with the new Graph API? Do you think it's even feasible?

    Anton,

    If you are trying to do data mining using Instagram meta-data, there are 3 different APIS, IG Graph API [Business and Non-Consumer IG], there is Basic Display API [has some limitations on scope of data requests] and then the Facebook Login method. 

    I do not have full scope of your goal, but I believe you could use a combination of the Facebook API's and Beautiful soup to parse most information from a post, like the image, username, caption, hashtags, etc.  Hope this helps!
