Yes, if you performed the step 3 to clone data from the source table to MDC-related table. It safe to truncate the data in the non-MDC copies of the tables.

The documentation describes how to migrate data from normal unclustered tables to MDC tables and then modify the configuration so that DMC uses the MDC tables.
The documented process simply copies the data from the existing tables (e.g., ACTIVITY_EVENT) to the MDC tables (e.g., ACTIVITY_EVENT_MDC).
Once this is done, there are now 2 copies of the data. Is it safe to truncate the non-MDC copies of the tables? If so, it would be useful if the documentation was updated to state this.
