  • 1.  Data level Policy installation issue from CM to Collector

    Hi Everyone,

    I am getting below error when I create a policy from CM and install it to the Collector. Please help me out of this.
    Eventhough I have got that error, I am able to see the respective policy is installed at the collector end from CM.

    Without digging into this too much I would suggest reviewing this documentation: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSMPHH_11.2.0/com.ibm.guardium.doc/protect/Guardium_11.2_SR_language.pdf

    If this doesn't help then I would recommend raising a case with the IBM Guardium Support team who should be able to research this problem for you.

    Hi Phanendra,

    as probably you will know, the sniffer process is the Guardium process that analyzes and parses all incoming traffic from S-TAP.

    Session-level policies are evaluated at the beginning of the sniffer process, e.g. firewalling policies. On the other hand, data-level policies are evaluated at the end of the sniffer process. This is why session-level policies have to be installed before data-level policies.
