Is there a way to disable "Auto group & summarize" in the Table visualization?

When the same value repeats for consecutive rows in the same column, the table cells with the same value are vertically merged, and the values vertically centered, and it is difficult to visually assign non-merged cells to merged cells because the cell border is white.

Possible solutions are:

• Show summaries
• Show Background color in the table so the border lines across cells are visible

But I would prefer to be able to:

• Set a color different than white to the cell borders
• Align the merged cells to the top
