Hi James,
Json file import was possible in Classic experience not in New experience.
Right now you're able to set your custom color palette in Administration and use the Wheel to make your colors as you need:

Then you could apply that palette to viz, it's under Global:

Yet, another option in NE is to set the book as template, so your choices would be applicable to the new book and its colors for widgets upon creation based on that template:

Thanks for the response Svetlana.
This will cause considerable rework to get back to a position that does not include our corporate branding.
Bit of a long shot. There used to be a way of changing palettes by uploading a json file. Is there anything that can be done to amend the standard IBM colours?
Thanks

Hi James and George!
Just to clarify on the approach that we've been taking; the dashboard palette were removed in SC63, so right now you can only create visualization palletes. The impact on that work was impacting the conditional formatting. We will be introducing palettes for that in upcoming releases.
Text widgets are much more flexible for the formatting as of SC 71.
There is a theme builder for dashboad that is also in the works for 2022 but no exact time frame on that yet.
Also there is work in progress for the corporate theming but it'd be a different capability that would allow customization of the PAW look and feel.
Best regards,

Thanks for responding George.
You can at least select a colour for text and shapes (which is a huge pain but at least can get the same look - eventually!).
Conditional formatting is a bigger problem for me. No branded formatting available and I don't see anything here that will help:
What's coming next in IBM Planning Analytics 2.0.71 SC
Migrating older (not classic but older) workbooks is now a huge task! Should have just been able to re-open, select the your newly created Global palette and continue. Now it's a massive exercise to get back to somewhere near what you had previously.

Hi James, on the recent AMA, Svetlana mentioned changes coming in PAW 2.0.71 on palettes and themes and further changes coming soon too.
We have the same issues as you. We cannot use our palettes that we set up on text boxes etc. only applies to visualizations from the looks of things.

Just to add to this. The reason we would look for a dashboard palette is to prevent dashboard creators having to add a palette of branded colours manually when formatting shapes and text.
As far as I can see, this also prevents any branded conditional formatting. This is something used extensively here to make Workspace native tables look more presentable to senior stakeholders. A real problem if this can no longer be achieved.
