In the screen shot below, I am pulling the 'Manager" filed into a table based on a lookup to a monthly HR file.  Throughout the year if an employee moves between Managers, their charges get duplicated (once for each Manager) when I look at YTD costs.  I'm trying to find a way to only pull in the Manager from the Current Month HR file and show that Manager for all YTD charging.  This will allow the current Manager to see an employees YTD cost by charge, without the duplication of charges for prior month Managers.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

As the data you are working with changes from one period to another I believe the best way to satisfy your requirement would be to maintain a separate table which lists employees current managers.

You could then perform a lookup to this table to return Jason's current Manager Ron S., and group the table down by the Employee column.
