Hi
Dynamic Cubes are not supported in CP4D, unfortunately, If you need just basic OLAP functions you can try Jeam's hint and use data modules. This fits low to medium data volumes. If you have high data volumes you'd like to analyze aggregated I still recommend Dynamic Cubes - on premise. Am still looking to catch up with an IBMer to talk about DCs for CP4D.
@Zachary Taylor: still waiting for you to reply .....

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback, i just want to understand if OLAP cubes are deprecated and we have new ways in cognos for data consumption and exploration. Also i think that only data modules are part of the cloud pak for data, so any guidance on the trends and how to model a new architecture without using dynamic cubes.
Thank you

Hi,
to my knowledge there are no new features for FM or Cube Designer on the roadmap. Both tools are mature and supported, but it is unlikely that they will get new features. There are also no plans to add OLAP support in Data Modules. Rachel Su stated that in one of the Ask-Me-Anything calls.
Do you have further questions re DCs?

Hi,
We are running Cognos 11.2 and evaluating using Dynamic Cubes. As I've reviewed documentation it seems that Cognos Cube Designer is similar to Framework Manager in terms of adding new functionalities and roadmap. Is It possible to put in place cubes into data modules ? What's the difference and limitations ? Is there a roadmap to replace it ?
Thanks a lot
