  • 1.  Cross tabulation

    Hi,  

    I was performing cross tabulation for some variables, and it was working fine but now the function isn't working. The Data type is the same as the other ones that worked just fine. My software is running ok as well but the new cross tabs won't work. 

    Please help

    Hi @Hafsa Fatma

    • What version and platform of IBM SPSS Statistics are you using?
    • When you say you are doing "cross tabulation", are your using the "Analyze -> Descriptive Statistics . . " menus (CROSSTABS command syntax)?  Or are you using the "Analyze -> Tables -> Custom Tables . . " menus (CTABLES command syntax)?
    • Are you getting any errors or warnings?  If so, what are they?
    • If there are no errors or warnings, what is it about the composition of the 'problem' variables that differs from your successful variables?  For instance, have you specified a scale level variable rather than a nominal or ordinal variable to define the cells of the table -- and the implied result is a predominantly empty table of thousands upon thousands of cells?
