    Hi,

    I would like to create a variable which includes only the true maximum value from 2 pre-existing variables. To be more precise, my data contains 1)LVOT gradient max at rest and 2)LVOT gradient max valsalva and i want to create a variable "Absolute LVOT gradient max". My data sample is over 3000 patients in size so it would be tedious to manually identify the true maximum LVOT gradient for each patient
