I am just needing a little assistance with CPU issues with an instance we have with Datastage TX ver 8.0.1 on AIX. We currently have one instance that is spiking at 92% and only known way to reduce this or fix this is to restart the event server service. Is this any known problem or what are some suggestions? Where should I look to check to set the amount of CPU space the instance can use is it MAX THREADS? Need some assistance. This occured after we have Server Team to upgrade the OS from 5.2 AIX to 5.3.

MAX_THREADS relates to the number of concurrent maps, I believe how that maps to the underlying threading and subsequent CPU utilisation is OS dependent. For AIX ... I ain't got a clue!
