    Hi Vinod

Is not the best way to install WebSphere, because the product is not registered in the system.

Anyway if you want to do, change variables in

      APPSERVER\bin\setupCmdLine
      PROFILE_NAME\bin\setupCmdLine

Hope this help.  Tell us if you need more support

    regards

    Gabriel,

My requirement is the below :

I have a set of 25 servers with websphere application server base versions installed with different applications installed and different configurations in each of them.

I have to build do the same installation of the websphere product and install the same applications and do the configurations in another set of 25 servers . What would be the best approach ?

    Vinod,

all of you are changing your environments?

What WebSphere version are you running?

read this post, is about the same.

      www.websphereusergroup.org/go/thread/vie...

Maybe more long, but your environment will not notice the change

    regards

    Gabriel,

We already have an existing environments for different applications installed with websphere base version 7.0.0.25.

Theree are close to 25 different applications installed with WAS 7.0.0.25 and configurations also done .

They want to install Websphere 7.0.0.25 base in another set of 25 servers so that these applications will be a replica of the existing one .

To install WAS 7.0.0.25 in 25 servers and do the configurations it will take long time . I wanted to know is there any option available to do it in a simpler way.

My plan is to install WAS 7.0.0.25 in one server and then copy the entire websphere folder from the exisiting working servers and after that changing the hostname, nodename and the cell name.

Both the new servers and the exissting servers should be working fine .

    Please suggest me .

    vinod,

give me more information about the environment.

      Clusters? standalone servers?

25 servers has the same applications? each server has different applications?

from old environment to new environment the OS will/need change?

    regards

    Dear Gabriel,

The exising environments configurations is below :

    OS --> AIX 6.1
WAS --> Websphere application server base 7.0.0.25

    No clustering is involved.

New Servers also the same configuration we need to make , the OS is already installed with AIX 6.1 . But any approach available instead of doing the entrie setup of WAS again .

The old servers also need to be up and runninng.
