Hi. I could be wrong, but the document conversion is using Oracle Outside In Technology, version 8.5.5 or later. Depending on the version / fix of your Content Navigator.

Hi Michael Pressler, You may download naigatorAPI.jar and decompile to see the function behavior.

Hello Ankit,
thank you very much for your answer.
I know the first link, but it does not help me solve the problem.
I tried to analyze the process in Content Navigator via the browser's developer tools and I see that the document is passed to the convertDocument function.
However, I could not find any further information about what convertDocument does in detail.
Regard Michael

Subject: Content Navigator / FNCM : Problems with PDF Renderer and Word documents
Hello,
we have the problem that the standard PDF renderer which is used in Content Navigator e.g. for "Downlod as PDF" displays Word documents partly wrong.
Export from Word or the conversions in Adobe Acrobat and some other external tools we have tested give the correct result.
Our environment is FNCM 5.5.8 in connection with ICN 3.0.12. I could not find any information which PDF renderer is used here. Debugging points to AFP2PDF renderer which is normally used with IBM Content Manager on Demand.
Question:
Does anyone have more detailed information what happens here under the hood of ICN when rendering to PDF ?
Is there any possibility to influence the rendering process e.g. configuration or replacement of the PDF render engine ?
I am aware that this can be done by e.g. plugins and transfer to an external render engine like Adobe Acrobat or Jadice. But these are additional components which increase the response time.
Thanks for your help in advance
Michael Pressler
