  • 1.  Consolidated installer for Windows GIM and STAP

    Posted Tue May 25, 2021 11:19 AM
    Hi,

For Windows i tried to install both GIM and STAP as a consolidated installer and it is working well. I referred the below link from IBM site
Consolidated Installer for Windows GIM and STAP

Could someone please assist me on how to check the live installation status as in this case i don't see any output in command prompt.

    Ibm remove preview
Consolidated Installer for Windows GIM and STAP
The IBM Guardium GIM client installer can also automatically install other modules (e.g. S-TAP) during the initial GIM installation without having to push the modules from the server.

    Hi Anbu,

Basically, you can check if you can see gim/stap instance in Guardium GUI. Also, you can check if there are services relevant to gim/stap created in Windows service list. If  suspect there is any problem during the installation, you can collect guard diag and review the logs, refer to:

    Thanks Jonathan for the update.

Yes, we can check for services, GIM/STAP in console or even in control panel but these we have to manually do. When running the below command in cmd it just gets executed without any message. So i was looking for some real time logs like a dialog box or in cmd saying Installation is completed or failed something like that.

    "setup.exe -UNATTENDED -AUTO_ASSIGN_IP 1 -APPLIANCE <IP>"
