I have a PoC with a client and one of the use cases is to integrate with applications monitored by AppDynamics. After following the doc here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/tarm/8.14.2?topic=targets-cisco-appdynamics, Turbonomic can connect but have problems accessing the database endpoint as suggested by the error message.

As the errors mention being able to list databases, I wonder if you missed the comment below for the permission needed for this (shown below)?

Yes, the client already did that. Please see screenshot that was taken from the AppD UI.

As the errors mention being able to list databases, I wonder if you missed the comment below for the permission needed for this (shown below)?

ok, great, just thought I would check. However, I see from another source that you have your answer now and it will be fixed in the next release (8.14.3) :-)
