Complex samples: independent samples t-test through GSGLM: how to obtain the mean difference and its CI

  • 1.  Complex samples: independent samples t-test through GSGLM: how to obtain the mean difference and its CI

    Hello,

I wanted to run an independent samples t-test with complex samples. I found the support page 419089 that explained how to use a GSGLM for this. I have indeed always done that, but now I hoped I could get the mean difference as an output as well, and ideally a confidence interval around the mean difference. In the support page it says:

"Click on the Statistics button. Check the box for the t test. If you want to see the mean difference and/or its standard error, also check those boxes."

I see the box for the t test, but not for the mean difference. Am I missing something, or do I misunderstand what is said on the support page (perhaps this was changed in newer version - the support page was updated in April 2020 - I use SPSS v29)?

    Any help much appreciated!

    Sebastiaan

    Hello,

I was still hoping that someone might be able to help with the above. Does anyone know if it's possible to get the mean difference (and maybe its CI) with complex samples when comparing two means with a t-test using the GSGLM command?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sebastiaan
