I have added the value into >Utilities >X12 Hex Values in CMMGR; modified \Mercator6.5\tree\x12\ansi4010.mtt, \Mercator6.5\cmgr\mmgr\ECMAIL.mtt, and \Mercator6.5\cmgr\mmgr\x12MAIL.mtt. Yet, it continues to fail in the STAMPANDSORT.MMC.

The reject log indicates:
<object index="1" level="1" size="645" status="E00">M4EC Interchange</object> which I have pin-pointed to be a problem with the sub-element value.

After each modification, I have shut down the Event Server and re-deployed MSG_MGR -- then I executed the EDI Wizard in CMGR, as well.

The inbound EDI file does not fail when I change the sub-element delimiter to x3A ‘:’. I need to know what is required to have CMGR 6.1 handle sub-element of x23 ‘#’, and will subsequently need it to handle a segment terminator of x24 ‘$’ as well.

Please advise ASAP.

I believe the order of required tasks is:
1. Add character in Partner Manager
2. Run EDI Wizard (which creates X12mail.mtt)
3. b:3221ede0f5Re-build[/b:3221ede0f5] all the maps in the Message Manager
4. Re-deploy the Message Manager
5. Stop and re-start the Event Server

The addition of the sub-element delimiter should be reflected in X12mail.mtt. Is it? Once when I had a similar problem, I recall that the Message Manager was using type trees in a different directory than the Partner Manager was modifying. That shouldn't be an issue with most implementations.
