I was trying to see how to build native custom controls so I modified the Select with Search Custom control by VERACiTiZ. I thought others might enjoy it and keep trying to create more native custom controls. All credit for the original code is to VERACiTiZ. I just added the following features.
Extended features include:
- A manual apply filter button
- Use/Display values for the drop down search
- And converted into an IBM Cognos Native Custom Control.
There are some extra configuration attributes that don't really do much but I left them in because I was having some issues with removing them. Just ignore the config options (Tooltip, SVG Icon, Color). If you unzip the Extension I also have a report XML that uses the Boston 311 calls data set and shows how to setup the prompt.
