    As far as I am aware you would tend to use the COM adapter via GET and PUT commands in your output card rules. So something else would trigger the COM adapter usage or it would be RUN.

    The last time I used this was some 4 years ago....and that was in a proof of concept rather than an actual requirement. It would seem to be one of adapters not so widely used.
