  • 1.  Column in chart only visible and not in legend

    Posted Thu November 06, 2025 12:11 PM

I have a chart with a query object in CA 12.0.4. Now a column (No Data) should be displayed in the chart, but not in the legend. I could remove it by using a column name with a blank, but the point with the color indicator remains. Coloring it white doesn't make sense since it doesn't always appear in the same position. How can I modify the legend so that this value is only visible in the chart and not in the legend?

    Hi Sven,

I see just one solution if you want this value only visible in the chart and not in the legend.

Hide the legend and create a fake legend (that could be an image you can set anywhere around your visualization). This workaround is only possible if you have the same data in the legend.

    Best regards,

    Hi Sven,

Patrick's idea would work - assuming you could sort your data so that the colors always line up with how they appear in the chart.  If you can't do that then I do not think Patrick's idea will work for you.

The only other option I can think of is to create a custom visualization or use a custom control (like a D3 type of chart) that you could use to hide certain aspect of the legend.
