  • 1.  Collector down/red alerting

    Hi all,

    I was wondering if there's a way to get alerts\emails from CM about a collector being down.  I wasn't sure if I could use the predefined Inactive Manage Unit alert to satisfy this or would I create a new query using Managed Units Alert or Managed Units.  Any advice is appreciated.

    The Inactive Manage Unit alert should be sufficient.

    Hi BIll, 

    That should work fine. The only I'd recommend is to monitor the CM as if it's also down you won't get alerted about the other units.
