  • 1.  ColdFusion and X-Application

    Posted 06/19/03 09:22 PM

Has anybody tried using the ColdFusion-Dreamweaver and X-Application combination to develop and application?

The pre-req for X-Application says Tomcat and ColdFusion contains its own internal application server. A brief scan of MacroMedia’s web site did not turn up any useful information on this internal app server or if you can replace it by your own JSP/servlet container like Tomcat.

    Thanks,
    Cicero

    Hello Cicero,

if ColdFusion´s application server is JSP1.1 and servlet2.2 compliant X-Application should run in this environment, too. X-Application is certified for Tomcat 4.1 but Tomcat is not a prerequisite.
Tomcat is only needed to setup X-Application´s at your development platform.
