Good day dear community.

This is an open invitation to anyone who wants to participate with me in my hackathon project, I will be presenting before the 1st of may, at the last possible moment, honoring a mediterranean tradition of doing so (that is a joke)

The project is a Farm to Fork, low cost, sustainable, portable, automated solution to tackle food scarcity that will become a very tragic issue in remote areas isolated due to the restrictions of travel and commerce by the geopolitical situation due to the pandemic.

So, I have been an executive chef for many years. I had many teams of chefs and cooks, believe me, not an easy environment to be a leader.  My approach was always against the trends in the sector.  Chefs used to work with a kind of military discipline hierarchical order.  

I know that it works if you are in a war, but not for me, thanks.

For me, it's all about communication, about my team knowing where we are going, believing in the goals we've set up to fulfill and also, understanding, how that will positively affect their lives.  I also believe in respect, diversity, inclusion, kindness and compassion. This does not mean that I am not able to"enforce" discipline when needed, but it's my belief that good people, with a good attitude, do not need to be controlled in order to do their job, they  need to be motivated, maybe kindly reminded of their duties, and last but nor least, understood, since we all can face difficult personal moments that it's impossible that it doesn't affect your work, because it will, but problems come and go in life, like waves.

So, who am I interested in working with:

- Data scientists of all kinds.  I want people who are passionate about data, and even some specific kind of data.  One kind of data scientist that can be proficient using the tools is vital, but also, someone who is not so proficient, but has insight and interest to curate and choose or search for the right data, or for the rright approach is also very relevant in a data science team.

- Programmers. These are the guys I admire. I can program a bit in C and understand the power of python, I am good at enunciating logarithms and decent with algebra, but what programmers do is for me a work of art, and I need those artists of code to help me.

- IOT specialists, Makers, electronic technicians or self learners, arduino enthusiasts, 3d printing, sensors, robotics, all that we will need to build this humanitarian project.

Lastly, but not least, There are people who have special skillsets. If you think you have something that can help, write up and tell me, I will be happy to find something to do for you.  Like researching interesting subjects, extracting data in a human way, connecting with people, doing clerical work (very important), writing emails, administering communities. Those are the soft skills.

So yes, feel free to check out the sample project, it is just a basic draft, i will upload the full structure of the project by sunday.
