  • 1.  Cognos trigger.bat with OIDC

    Hi,
    We have implemented OIDC connection for CA.
    With our previous directory service LDAP(AD) we used scripts(trigger.bat) to call triggers from other sources.
    The sytax is something like this


    trigger.bat "http://servername:9300/p2pd/servlet/dispatch" "id" "password" "test-trigger-oidc"

    Since we changed LDAP to OIDC, we aren't able to use the script.
    I understand for OIDC login is little different and we have SSO now , the namespace is kind of not available for login.

    How to handle triggers for OIDC.
    I get the error message

    Call to IdP failed to get id

    entity. Status 400

    Error: unsupported_grant_type


    with the same account, I am able to login and run jobs/reports via cognos connection.
    I also have a PMR open for almost 2 weeks but there isn't any response yet.

    As far as I know OpenID requires a browser to pass authentication through. I've not seen any way to circumvent this via other code. Maybe your OpenID provider would have more information.
