If your SSO occurs between a web page that you have and Cognos, it will not work with Cognos clients.
There is not communication between client tools and sites.
You might get SSO between clients using Active Directory (Kerberos), Windows and IIS. But I guess that is not your case.

Subject: Cognos SSO problem, How to make the login redirect URL configuration doesn't interfere client tools login behaver?
I've write a Cognos authentication using Custom Java Provider which is working well for Analytics server.
When I use windows clients (Report Framework Manager and Dynamic cube and Transformer) to login Analytics server, they did redirect to my custom login page. But no SSO effect.
4 client tools (Report Framework Manager and Dynamic cube and Transformer, Cognos for Office) have 4 type login behavers and SSO doesn't work.
I don't how to write a login page (use C#) to fit those client tools and display it correctly. ( login but client tool's logoff menu doesn't show up or no login effect)
SO I give up using SSO in client tools . But another question is happen.
When I set a login redirect URL for SSO in Analytics server( imgur.com/zNv7Sr1 ). It will make those client tools login behaver be changed too (Client login UI be changed to my custom login UI,I want Client tools login by origin Cognos UI ) How to make the login redirect URL configuration doesn't interfere client tools login behaver?
