  • 1.  Cognos 11.1.7 reports stop working in Chrome

    Hi,


    Somehow I suddenly start to have trouble opening up all reports of Cognos 11.1.7 on google chrome. I can still edit dashboard, but not reports. Internet explorer still works. I didn't change any chrome settings.

    Hi, 

    I have users from different companies reporting the exact same problem, they are all running Cognos 11.1.7.
    The same PC and browser connecting to Cognos 11.1.6 has no problems, but trying to create/edit reports in Cognos 11.1.7 gives the error before the template choice normally come op.
    I think it has to do with the latest Chrome version (85.0.4183.83) combined with Cognos 11.1.7
    Brave browser (Chrome based) with the same chromium version also have the same problem.
    I have also testet on IBM's cloud version of Cognos (11.1.7) they have the same problem!
    Deleting cockies etc. or running in inkognito mode does not help.

    Good morning,

    The root cause is the Chrome update. Issue is known
    PH29011 CAN NOT CREATE NEW REPORTS AFTER UPGRADING CHROME TO VERSION 85.0.4183.83
    IBM is working on a fix, stay tuned
