    I know how to cluster websphere but
    we have 4 blades and  my Colleagues told me install websphere in standalone mode on that blades.
    that blades has one nortel that cluster these 4 application server .
    is it correct ?

    I don't think so as you have to install WAS ND in order to manage other nodes after adding them to this cluser, isn't it?

    sorry to intrupt the discussion with Ahmed.


    If i understand correctly, the idea is to install websphere [WAS] in stand alone mode and then cluster the standalone WAS servers using nortel on blade servers.

    If my above assumption is correct, then ...

    You can do this but you loose the advantages and simplicity provided by websphere clustering.  Some are mentioned below.
    - Centralized administration
    - Simple deployment process/rollout update
    - Cluster ripple start [reduces downtime]
    - Failovers
