Yes, trial is free. When you sign up for Cloud Pack for Data by going to https://www.ibm.com/products/cloud-pak-for-data and clicking "Try it for free", system would provision free plans for Watson Knowledge Catalog and Watson Studio for you, so you can try Cloud Pack for Data experience without incurring cost. There will be limits to what you can do and how much resources/assets you can use.

Hi Igor,

The CPDaaS trials provide Lite Plans for the services so there is no charge unless you exceed the usage limit or in some cases a time limit.
