    Hi,

We have a problem when upgrading in place from a redhat 7.9 server to redhat 8.8. We have opened a case with support and for some reason we cannot update that server.
We have the same installation on 14 other servers that we have been able to upgrade successfully.

We have to update this server to redhat 8.8 with the current versions of was and filenet.

we would like to avoid the installation from scratch and the problems that this solution could cause to the client.

These are the three scenarios we have considered:
o Make a clone of the production server that has the same function and that is already in RH8.8 changing the number and the ips, configuration, etc. of the server

o Request a server in RH8.8, give this server the hostname, ips, etc of the server with which we have problems, copy the filesystem of app, was, etc and start the application.

o Request a server in RH7.9, give this server the hostname, ips, etc of the server with which we have problems, copy the filesystem of app, was, etc and start the application, once the operation has been validated, upgrade the server in RH 8.8.

Do you consider any of the solutions provided feasible or are we going to have to do an installation from scratch?

    Regards.
