  • 1.  Client cannot start TN Console

    Posted 06/26/03 03:35 PM

    Hi,
I have a client. He can connect to server 4.6 on another machione and start TN from solutions–>Trading Networks. But, when he starts the TN console and try to connect to server on that machine, its says that the server is not accessible. I have made the user and password for that client on the server and has the required ACL’s.
On client machine, Server is not installed.
Any one knows how to solve the problem.

    Thanks

Is there a firewall on his side or your side that blocks the connections?
    Thanks

Is he able to access the server thru Administrator console or the webMethods developer?
    Thanks

Did you put the user in the TNAdministrators group? Can you describe the situation in more detail. What type of clients can connect, URLs, etc?

Are there any ip address restrictions on the port (configured within IS)?

    Thanks Vinod,
Client now able to access TN. Client was using HTTP in the server name when he starts TN console. Server Name should be server:port and not http://server:port

    Thanks

    Hi Kriski,
I think there was an IP restricton of not including http with the server name when starting TN console. When I omit http, it works.

    Thanks
