Subject: CIS - Error initializing SAP Adapter
We are using PA to call CIS to extract various data from SAP/BW
In a new installation of CIS everything was working and we could refresh outlines, query data, write to files etc.
Suddenly when opening a selection we now get "Error initializing SAP Adapter"
Has anyone had this before and know how to resolve? Google is very thin on this error and the one result relates to 32 vs 64 bit which I have checked.
This is what I have done so far:
Checked that all the SDK files have been copied over from the lib folder (SAP NW RFC SDK 7.50)
Reinstalled the SAP .Net Connector 3.0 for .Net 4.0 on x64 and copied the files from c:\program files\sap\SAP_DotNetConnector3_Net40_x64 to the ICIS folder
Used powershell to test that the SAP server and port 3340 are reachable
Restarted the server and tried again.
Copied over the entire ICIS folder from a working environment and it also fails
Copied over the entire ICIS folder from this non-working environment to another environment and it works there
Used process explorer to try see any differences in the threads/environment etc. etc. Only difference is in a working environment, sapnco.dll and sapnco_utils.dll are active when the selection is opened i.e. a connection is established.
Please let me know should you have encountered this or have any ideas on what to look into. TIA!
