Chart Builder won't launch for some reason. I click on the button and nothing happens. No message, no nothing.

If you have multiple monitors or have changed screen resolution, the Chart Builder might be off screen. If on Windows, you would probably see it in the tray, or you could do alt+spacebar after invoking it and use the system menu to move it back into view.

    Thank you for your reply.

I'm working on macOS. I'm not using multiple screens and haven't changed screen resolutions. I can make my macbook show all SPSS-windows, but it shows only the Data editor and the Viewer. It's seems that the Chart builder just hasn't been launched at all.

I've restarted SPSS, restarted my macbook, started with another data sheet, a sample sheet, reinstalled SPSS, updated SPSS to version 27.0.1.0 and tried to have a friendly conversation with it, but nothing seems to work.

It's possible to make a chart by going to frequencies or cross tabs and then making a chart in Viewer so i'm using that for now. but it would be nice to be able to use the Chart Builder again.

Maybe you will have to threaten it :-)

I don't have any more ideas. Maybe a Mac person can respond.

Note that besides the Chart Builder, you can use Graphs > Legacy Dialogs or Graphs > Graphboard Template Chooser to make charts.

Also, in V27, you can use Help > Report an Issue to report this problem.

Haha, I didn't want do go that far, but maybe I'll get some joy out of it. XD

Thanks for your help, I'll give the Legacy Graphs a try.
