Ascential seem to be providing many of their clients with exceptionally long duration (500 years!) license keys so that they do not have the same issue you do. The limited duration license key update is an introduction from the DataStage suite.

    Perhaps 8.0 will change all this, then again, perhaps IBM have a different licensing structure.

    In the meantime, ask for a long duration license key.

    What version are you using. Prior to 7.5 there was no expiration. This was introduced in 7.5 and customer were given quite long dates, unless you have evaluation license.
