We have a requirement to rename MQ server name(hostname) in our prod.
It is running on Windows server 2019.
What are the risks and any best practices?

Hi Peter,

A few questions from the top of my head with your hostname change:

1) Is the Queue Manager part of a cluster ?
2) Do the client applications use a CCDT to communicate with the Queue Manager?
3) Is the Queue Manager a multi-instance Queue Manager and how does routing of MQ traffic happen from clients if so ?
4) If the Queue Manager is a multi-instance Queue Manager, are you changing the hostname of both hosts ?
5) Does the Queue Manager use TLS/SSL and will a new key and cert be created to reflect the hostname changes ?
