In Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE), is it possible to build a quick report using member_ids, but display the data with the alias? 

This would prevent the quick report from breaking due to an alias change, but still enable users to see the intutive alias.

You can do it with formulas, much the same way you would do it in "old" reports.

Create your quick report using member ID, insert a column left or right of that and use a DBRA formula to get the alias. Hide the column column with the member id's.
