Hi all,

In a sales budgeting TM1 model, we faced an issue with cell security. All of a sudden, for unknown reasons, the cell security would not work anymore as it should. That cell security cube is populated with rules. (There is also element security for some of the dimensions.)

I could change the rules in the rules editor (using Architect), however, it would not be picked up and take effect. Refresh security was done multiple times. The cell security cube cells themselves would not show what I put in the rules (even hardcoded things for testing, even not as a first line in the rules to take priority).

So data was still in the cube but not visible to the users. No back-end changes were done, just users executing regular TI processes and changing figures manually.

Does this ring a bell please ? The version is 2.0.9.15 with PAW as the interface for data input. I cannot reproduce the issue now, I also did not see it earlier.

After TM1 instance restart it was fine again. In the server log I see no indication of weird behaviour that would make cell security unusable. I cannot add screenshots due to the sensitive nature but just imagine an empty view due to cell security not working ;-)

What I also noticed, users logging in with CAM security did not have their for instance 3 group memberships applied, but only 1 of them. So for testing I cleared 1 group membership in the }ClientGroups cube, logged in with that user, and it would not populate all 3 group memberships. After restart this was fine again with 3 cells that would be populated.

Hi Wim,

Please log a case if that would happen again, there would be the need for more details.

There has been no issues noted around that cell security cubes yet.

Also, if you change the PAW version recently?
