Hi,
I have been trying to connect into my mainframe using port 23, but after a year still no luck. I have been following the scenario 4 on the IBM zPDT Guide and Reference. I have set all the possible TCPPARMS configuration. Hometest is working find with the expected IP as well all netstat config are showing both 10.1.1.2 and the static IP.
I'm able to access 23 in the Linux box using 10.1.1.2 but not the static IP i have assigned on the z/OS. I got a feeling that my problem is on the AWS redhat linux. Since I have assigned a secondary IP address using AWS console when i check the IP address using "IP ADDR" command the secondary IP is also available on ETH0. My theory is my linux box is also using the IP so they are sharing the same IP. But when i remove the secondary IP the error i got is no route to host or anything.
in the traffic tracking when I tried to connect to port 23 with assigned secondary address in AWS this what i got

if i remove the secondary IP address to make sure that it is not use by my linux box this error i got
is "destination unreachable no route to host"
please help me with this.
thank you very much
