  • 1.  Can't add .xml file from original project to ITIM ADT to modify the adapter

    Hello, 

    I would like to ask if there is somebody with similar experience and possibly if you know how to solve this issue.

    I have been given the original jar file adapter made in ITIM Adapter Development Tool for modification. Unfortunately I am not able to import one of several .xml Operations files. I tried to import the whole project from jar and even to add just one desired xml file but I can't see the file I want to add during the import. 

    Do you have any idea what could cause this issue?

    Sorry - but my clear advice - do not even try. The ADT is an ASIS tool and one of the things that most people having worked with the tool knows is that importing and existing project is the path to absolute doom in terms of endless debugging of strange errors.

    So - what you can do is to recreate your project in ADT and then export it - and then merge with your current version in terms of ALs etc. 

    I am sorry to tell you this - there may be chance that this can be fixed - but the original developer of ADT is not supporting the tool anymore - I hope we will have some kind of replacement in the future, but do not hold your breath...

    If you need help on importing the project into SDI and how to test/compare the adapter let us know and there is a good chance we can help your out...

    Thanks for updating us - good to know you managed to solve your problem.

    I am a little curious - did you manage to re-import the adapter or did you solve it in another way ?
