  • 1.  Cannot download rpms from web page

    When I go to AIX Toolbox for Open Source Software : Downloads alpha (ibm.com), I am not able to download rpms; all the links are broken. This has been going on for at least a few days, but did work a few weeks ago for sure. 

    For example for the very first rpm, a2ps, the rpm link is https://public.dhe.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/RPMS/ppc/a2ps/a2ps-4.13-4.aix6.1.ppc.rpm, but that gets an error: public.dhe.ibm.com's server IP address could not be found.

    Hello @Andrew Schlei,

    I have just tested the links and it is wokring fine for me .I don't see the issue with the site.

    For a2ps, the rpm link redirected to me is : https://public.dhe.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/RPMS/ppc/a2ps/a2ps-4.13-4.aix6.1.ppc.rpm

    It is working fine. Probably a temporary issue or some DNS/IP issue at your end.

    Yes, that seems to be the case. I tested from my home PC and it works fine there, but the name still can't be resolved from my work PC. I'll have IT look into it, thanks!
